TYPING
- Typing Test. Test how fast you type. You want to be in the average or above range.
- Essential mouse and keyboarding guide has many more resources at different levels to improve your typing skills (thank you, Stella!).
- Free Typing Lessons: Free online typing course.

- Free Online Typing. Online typing exercises.
- Power Typing hosts a small collection of five typing games that students can use to develop their typing skills.
- Z-Type is a simple and fun typing game. The game has an easy level and a difficult level
- Typing Speed Monitor is a Google Chrome extension that will track how fast you type and what keys you use most frequently.
- Good Typing is a free online typing skill development program. It provides 27 graduated lessons designed to help students learn to use their entire keyboards correctly
- Typing Club is a popular website offering free online touch typing lessons for students of all ages.

- D-maps website is all about maps, printable maps of all types.
- The Sheppards Software provides maps and games related to Social Studies.
- Khan Academy also offers Social Studies content. You have to sign up, but it is completely free. This site also offers test-prep courses (GMAT and SAT, to name a few), which could be of use in preparing for the GED.
- GED Practice Test: provides practice test for all modules.
MATH

- Click here to learn how to use the on-screen calculator in the GED exam. Is important that you know that there is a section of the exam where you can use calculator and you can use your own calculator TI-30XS (official calculator). We recommend you buy it as soon as possible so you can practice and familiarize with it.
- Adapted Mind Worksheets. The website above provides practice questions in math up to the 8th grade level, including explanations of problems and printable worksheets. It’s free up to a point and then subscription is required.

- The Use English Website is a great resource for teachers and students, including, but not limited to: handouts, games practice quizzes, explanation of grammatical points and concepts.

*The tab “lesson plans and worksheets for ESL includes useful information for English Language Arts and ESL courses. Once there, one can narrow the search by English level and grammatical concepts.
- The Free Rice Website is great for vocabulary building and pronunciation, as there is an audio component. Correct answers results in donations of rice to those in need through the World Food Program.
- The Rong Chan Website is a collection of helpful pronunciation practice links that are great for self-motivated students. These could be used in class as well. Useful for ESL students.
- This phonetics website shows how the parts of the mouth move to produce specific sounds. Useful for ESL students.
- A video useful for ESL students with pronunciation tips.
- This link provides a series of videos encouraging imitation of sounds and intonation. Ideal for ESL students.
