I learned of the great inequalities in treatment of immigrants and low education workers from Hispanic countries during medical mission work. I felt called to serve this population using skills and knowledge from my career as a teacher.

I am a Georgia Master Naturalist.

Solía organizar la Noche Internacional en la primaria de mis hijos. Aunque no soy cocinera especializada, estoy orgullosa de mis deliciosas tortillas y quesadillas caseras. Alguna vez hice tortillas y quesadillas para toda la clase de primer grado para una presentación de México.
